  • Responsibilities

    CSS Inc. has an immediate opening for a Safety Training Coordinator to provide part-time (24 hours per week) training support at our client site, the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD.  The position requires a team-oriented professional with strong organization skills as well as excellent writing and oral communication skills. 

     

    Specific responsibilities and duties include:

    1. Maintaining supplies for training courses
    2. Setting up teaching equipment and materials prior to each class
    3. Assisting with grading of course exams from an answer key provided by DOHS
    4. Entering students’ grades into the DOHS database
    5. Preparing, printing, and mailing course certificates to students
    6. Coordinating student registration on-line and in classroom
    7. Answering questions regarding website registration and training
    8. Assisting in website change testing
    9. Assisting with on-line course development
    10. Assisting with other administrative duties as needed by DOHS
    11. Scheduling teaching facilities
    12. Preparing training reports as needed

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications: 

    1. AS or BS degree in Safety or related discipline
    2. 2 or more years of related experience.
    3. Detail oriented.
    4. Experience working with and knowledge of ES&H standards and regulations.
    5. Effective written and oral communication skills.

     

    Desired Qualifications:

    1. Demonstrated ability to work as a solid contributor in a team environment.
    2. Capable of multi-tasking and changing direction depending on work load.
    3. Previous Federal government experience.
    4. Computer skills including: Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
