  • Responsibilities

    Duties: Ensure general contractor’s compliance with all safety rules and procedures. Able to provide oversite to multiple construction projects at the same time and able to work independently without constant supervision. Utilize OSHA and Army Corps of Engineers regulations and write recommendations based on findings from daily walkthrough on project sites and follow up to ensure compliance. Able to crawl, climb over obstacles, walk on uneven surfaces such as ramps, roof tops and able to climb ladders without assistance. Be able to enter a confined space or work on high elevated task locations. Attend weekly project progress meetings and bring up safety issues with staff. Capable of delivering clear, concise verbal or written communication about an issue. Teach Safety related classes and perform accident investigations or investigate near misses. Write weekly project reports with deficiencies noted as well as corrections. Advises contractor supervisor of noncompliance, stops work in imminent danger situations and report actions to supervisor as well as immediately notifying COR. Able to achieve “Secret” level clearance when requested services to other facilities are required. 


    High School Graduate or General Equivalency Diploma (GED). Five (5) years directly related industry safety experience, or three (3) years with a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or safety and health degree.


    Certifications & Training: Occupational Safety Health Administration (OSHA) 500, Asbestos Supervisor, Lead Supervisor within six (6) months of hire).
