  • Responsibilities

    CSS is seeking an experienced System Administrator with a strong background in Windows, Red Hat Linux, Citrix, Cisco, and VMware environments.

    Responsibilities include deploying and managing a Citrix XenDesktop infrastructure as well as standard system administration including the installation, configuration, operation, management, troubleshooting, repairing, upgrading, monitoring, and maintaining server systems that provide the core and functional services/systems for the organization’s networks.

     

    Qualifications

    Qualifications:

    • 5+ years’ experience in Windows system administration with a good understanding and background of CentOS Linux.
    • 3+ years’ experience working with and managing a Citrix XenDesktop environment.
    • Excellent knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of server infrastructure.
    • Strong understanding and experience with VMware vSphere 5, Veeam Backup & Replication, and EMC VNX storage systems.
    • Ensure the compliance with IT security driven tasks and configurations within the server/network infrastructure.
    • Working knowledge of Cisco Unified Communications Manager and are able to deploy devices and configure/manage voicemails for end users.
    • Working knowledge of Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) as well as the ability to configure and troubleshoot domain authentication within ISE.
    • Working knowledge of Windows Powershell and Unix shell scripting for the purpose of automating tasks.
    • Make recommendations for commercial off-the-shelf (COTs) application upgrades and implementation of new applications.
    • Install and terminate fiber and ethernet cable.
    • Understand TCP/IP concepts, subnetting, routing protocols and be able to troubleshoot basic network connectivity issues.
    • The candidate must be able to respond to scheduled or emergency events during off hours.
    • Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
    • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and work on ladders when required.
    • Some travel to/from sites within Kennedy Space Center is required.
